RE: Dont Know What the engine is.
Wat you talkin 'bout, Willis?
|
RE: Dont Know What the engine is.
The OS SF series engines (great running engines by the way) where replaced by the OS FX series some years back and now it seems the FX's will eventually be replaced by the AX series in the future.
Can,t help you on where to get parts (don,t currently own any of these engines) but someone I,am sure may have some links. It would probably help if you stated exactly what size engine and parts you needed. John |
RE: Dont Know What the engine is.
If it's an OS 46 SF, LEO 46 Pro parts will fit.

RE: Dont Know What the engine is.

RE: Dont Know What the engine is.
Here is the OS 40 SF w/ring
http://www.osengines.com/parts/xr15400.html and w/o ring http://www.osengines.com/parts/xr15410.html You still have not said what kind of parts you are looking for. [:@] get a p/n and look it up at Tower or elsewhere for starters. |
RE: Dont Know What the engine is.
what the differince.like ring or w/ring???? i no more about rc buggys then planes.lol
|
RE: Dont Know What the engine is.
The difference is what parts are used.
One engine has a compression ring at the top of the piston and the other does not. Obviously one will have a groove in the piston for the ring and the other will not. All you have to do is look into the exhaust port to tell. Bore & stroke may also be different, I did not look. Apparently no need to since you are not answering the questions anyway. |
RE: Dont Know What the engine is.
what kind of gas do each of the engines use.
|
RE: Dont Know What the engine is.
No gas. 10-15% nitro model airplane glow fuel from the LHS will be fine.
|
RE: Dont Know What the engine is.
chould i use trinity moster horsepower 20%
|
RE: Dont Know What the engine is.
Sorry, never heard of that. 20% is on the high side but would work. Do not use car/truck fuel. They have different oil/additives as I understand it and are no0t recommended for plane engines.
