Thank you for your recommendation on the Venture. I knew about the Venture and had gotten scared of kit building part, but I will certainly look into the building of a kit and the Venture looks a like a very nice candidate.

It looks like the selection of planes has increased.What you guys think about a J-3 Piper Cub as a second plane? Someone e-mailed me and told me it's a very nice flyer and is great for a second plane. A Piper is a very beautiful plane but as a second plane?

I personally wouldn't recommend it as a 2nd plane. Cubs required a lot of rudder input on the ground during take off and landings in addtion to flying and for coordinated turns. They need to be flown until a complete stop on the ground after landing. The like to act as wind socks and turn into the wind, requiring constant rudder attention. They can get a bit squirrely, pose a challenge, but are a lot of fun to. Not to mention they look great in the air. My opinion.
