You can usually remove the wrinkles with a heat gun pretty easily, easy does it, dont hold the heat still,or youll burn a hole quickly.
its not unusual to develop a few wrinkles. |

Thanks Guys!

Thank you for the info.
I'll try this tonight. |

Heat gun or iron will re-shrink the covering generally, the gun can cover to much of an area sometimes,if the covering is some hong kong phooey type it may not stretch very well,so test a small area, and increase the heat slowly. As the humidity changes so does the wood,it expands and contracts.

I get pockets in the covering. Question-1: what is the best heat gun I can buy? Should I buy one at Home Depot or are those different than the ones at a hobby store. Question-2: What do you recomend for covering? Are there different thicknesses in coverings? |

Buy the heat gun at a r/c hobby store,as far as an iron I use 21st Century, it has a nice shoe and a temp gage that works.Oh boy.Ask 5 people which is the best and you'll probably get 7 different answers, think all coverings have some good and some bad,I use Ultracote the most, then next MonoKote.
