Why do you think I choose to live in Oklahoma in the first place???
because Texas had enough wussies? :D

Actually, I've never been up there. But I have heard about them though. Let me know when you come this direction, maybe we can get together and get some airtime in!!!

I'm gettin real tired of hearing you northeners complain about how cold it is up there. [sm=cry_smile.gif] I'll have you know that it got so cold here in Houston last night that I had to get up and turn off the airconditioner!

Let's kill him.

Actually, this has been another banner year here in the great white north. Last night we had a little freezing rain, and today we're supposed to get a little snow (Very little)

Perfect!

A little snow for Xmas, then I hope it all goes away.

Last weekend was weird here in Oklahoma. On Saturday we had to turn the heat off and turn on the AC in the afternoon, only to have to turn the heat back on that night!!!! :)

Ken,

It's not flying just yet. I'm still working out the paperwork issues with the feds. (They're not buying my theory that four 1/4 scale servos ganged together will be enough!) Should be soon though. I'd like to make Galesburg in September 2007.

Dusters holds a Stearman gathering or two each year. I highly recommend going to one. Take your camera and appetite (lots of burgers and dogs!) Once you hear six or eight radials in formation overhead, you'll toss all of your electric foamies in the dumpster! :D

I remember after I moved to Houston (only for a short time). It was 60 degrees as the high one day, low of about 58. I got into work and all of the women had on turtle necks. I'm thinking "That's odd". Shortly after I hear someone in the row of cubicles over "Go jogging this morning?" and someone replied "No, it was way too cold!". This was at the first of March. I had no idea what was in store that August [:'(]

Yeah, I have to admit that while us southerners like to razz the northeners about their winters, we tend to shut up about it in the summer! :)

Got a serious cold front expected through this weekend. We'll probably have to take the mosquito netting off the windows and shut 'em. Gonna mount the snow tires too if the temps fall below 85.

Way ahead of you; I already mounted the chains on my 1:10 electric 'Pede. :D I have chains for the 1:1, but I'll only mount those when I go to the snow. ;) Only go to the snow twice a year, so I don't have a four wheel drive vehicle. Main reason people have 4x4s around here is for the Oceano Dunes and the numerous offroad trails. Just for kicks, I drove the 'Pede around with chains. On the dirt, off the line accleration is better, but the turning radius increased. On concrete, well, doughnut city! ;):D

Hitman 45,
So, I'll ask you as I really did not get a satisfactory answer. In Austrailia, when you flush the toilet, which way does the water swirl in the bowl?

perreback 12-23-2006 03:43 AM

RE: Merry Christmas

True, Flak, you didn't get an unequivocal (what a fancy word :)) answer. And have you thought about what happens at the equator? Does the water go straight down in the toilet bowl/bathtub/ kitchen sink there? Now there's a thinker...

the_madgenius 12-23-2006 07:22 AM

RE: Merry Christmas

oops , it seems i made a typo when i answered Flak, the answer should have read "counter clockwise" Now Perreback has thrown a new one , the equator. Well you will have to find someone living on that mark to answer that.

Well of course you fly on 1st! Everyone flies on the 1st unless they had too much nitro in their eggnog the night before. [X(]
