RX/TX Question

Hi:

I'm a super-noob when it comes to radio systems. My question, I own a Hitec Optic 6. Specifically this one, http://www.greathobbies.com/producti...d_id=HIT158721

I was contemplating a long term project and was thinking of this Flight Pack, http://www.greathobbies.com/producti...od_id=JSP40030

Since the rx & tx are of differing brands, will the jrsport receiver work with my transmitter?

Thanks,
Tom

RE: RX/TX Question

The Hitec transmitter you have sends out a Negative shift signal and JR requires a Positive shift. Futaba uses Negative shift signals so you can use their receivers but you will likely find the Hitec stuff cheaper and just as good... Oh and Tower Hobbies brand receivers are just Futaba with different stickers on the face.

EDIT// Oh just read the fine print on your radio. It is Shift Selectable so yes that JR flight pack should work.

RE: RX/TX Question

Shift should be no problem, you can program the Optic 6 for either, use positive shift for the JR and Airtronics receivers, negative for Hitec or Futaba.

Not to mention the fact that the RECEIVER in the flight pack is ALSO shift selectable, so it could be set to work with a negative shift transmitter. ;)
