Balancer lead's

1 Attachment(s)
I'm getting ready to order the electrifly equinox balancer, and I was wondering if the balancer will accept my leads on my LiPo's here I have a picture (sorry about the quality) I have my 3S wich has a 5 prong lead, and two 2S with 3 prong leads. Will I have to buy lead adapters? If so were can I get them for my battery applications? thanks! Also I just found that my 3S pack being made by parkzone it has to have the parkzone balancer/charger. I have EC3 connectors on all my batteries, so does anyone know if this charge automaticaly balances/charges your packs? Or are all charge leads to 2S and 3s the same? I know thunder power's leads aren not.

RE: Balancer lead's

You have to use the balance plug to balance the batteries, it can't be done through the EC3 connector.
No your parkzone battery does not have to be charged/balanced with parkzone charger. Any quality charger/balancer will work fine.
There are 2 different size balance connectors (not talking about pin count but physical size) one is Thunder Power, the other I am not sure of the name but most other battery manufacturers use it. The second, larger size, is probably what fits the Equinox balancer and probably what you have on your batteries now. You would probably need an adaptor for Thunder Power batteries (the polarity is also reversed on Thunder Power)
Notice all the "probably"s in my post.

Get a "Blinky". It is one of the best balancers available. Cost - about $25

Thanks for posting your advice! I know it can't be done through your EC3 device, parkzone makes some sort of balancer/EC3 charge lead for other batteries? This does not sound right but I looked on horizons website and found some sort of EC3/balancer connector. This just might be the lead for the charger itself, I've never seen the parkzone lipo charger though, so I don't know.

Ok.. how about where to get one of these gizmo's? Google gives the following response on Blinky:

Results 1 - 10 of about 1,570,000 for blinky.

Narrow your search. the blinky is made by Astro flight.

Indeed I will look for one, yet as CGRetired said were can you find one??? Also were do you get the balancing plug adapters??? I don't want to get stuck with having to buy this and that to only balance 3 lipos. I mean with the equinox charger I know my balancing plugs will hook up, with the blinky, I have never heard of this odd named piece of battery balancing machinery!

Yes it works fine.

I have one and I've used it for the Parkzone and other batteries.

Provided with the Equinox you will find multiple connectors.

You can also order others for different cell counts.

I believe it comes with a connector for 2S, 3S and 4S.

Blinky balancers work great as do Astro Flight chargers.

RE: Balancer lead's

Only problem is I need a balancer asap, and tower is out of stock on the blinky's, so should I just grab the equinox? I mean both do the same thing, balance lipos. I just want it to remain reliable. I found a blinky on ebay, do you have to buy anything else for it to balancer you cells/ hook it to your charger?
