What Prop For This Combo?

Hello all,

I've got this setup:

CMP Katana 50 ARF

Magnum XL-70RFS 4-Stroke

What prop do you recommend for this combo.

I know it's large diameter, low pitch but I'm not exactly sure on this one

I would like to use the PowerPoint wooden props so I just need to know specifically what size

Thanks:D

You're going to want to start with a smaller diameter prop until you get a couple of gallons through the .70 RFS to get the ring nice and set. Start with a 13x4 or 13x5 and then move to a 14" prop once you've got a good, reliable idle established.

Once broken in, Flying Freak's suggestion of a 14x4 will be an excellent choice for 3D acrobatics.

Very good point,

For break in take a bit of the load off

try not to get the rpm higher than say 13k on the ground personally id try and keep it around 12k 4 strokes have LOTS of moving parts (compare to 2 strokes) and thus you dont want them to spin too fast
