First Plane OOOPS!!
I am building my first plane, and had an oops. I am building the GP PT-40 and when I glued the fuse doubler in I didnt notice at the time but it is glued to far down. Now that I am getting ready to put the front fuse bottom and rear fuse bottom in the notches are covered and there is no recess for them to fit in. Am I S.O.L. or can I carefully cut away a bit of the doubler and still be good? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

RE: First Plane OOOPS!!
As long as you have nut made to left hand pieces you're probably OK
If you need to remove some doubler in some areas - you want to add some doubler in other areas where part of the doubler is missing. Just use scrap wood. The best model builder is one that can recover from a mess up. |
RE: First Plane OOOPS!!
You'd be amazed and probably amused if you could see some of the mistakes that I've made then had to somehow make work.
