Default First Plane OOOPS!!

I am building my first plane, and had an oops. I am building the GP PT-40 and when I glued the fuse doubler in I didnt notice at the time but it is glued to far down. Now that I am getting ready to put the front fuse bottom and rear fuse bottom in the notches are covered and there is no recess for them to fit in. Am I S.O.L. or can I carefully cut away a bit of the doubler and still be good? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Study it all carefully and cut away the interfering parts

As long as you have nut made to left hand pieces you're probably OK

If you need to remove some doubler in some areas - you want to add some doubler in other areas where part of the doubler is missing. Just use scrap wood.

The best model builder is one that can recover from a mess up.

You'd be amazed and probably amused if you could see some of the mistakes that I've made then had to somehow make work.
