What wheel collars?

I need wheel collars for .032 wire and the ones in towerhobbies do not specify what wire they will fit.
What wheel collars will splice two pieces of .032 wire together? 1/16”, 3/32”, or 3/16”

RE: WHAT WHEEL COLLARS?

Well 1/16" is .0625", so the hole may be slightly larger. Two pieces of .032 side by side is .064", so it's iffy that they would fit. But you could enlarge the hole or just use the 3/32" and a third piece of wire if necessary.

I'm assuming that it is either for throttle, or very small electrics primary controls because of the small size. Some ARF's are set up with dual elevator pushrods to a single servo with wheel collars, though with the light weight servos we have today, I prefer to use two servos. Also, using two wheel collars might be a good idea if a flight control.

Want them for primary elevator/rudder control for a Micro Telemaster, for easy adjustability.
Plan on Z-bends at horn end, and E/Z links at the servo end, with wheel collars joining the two.

You could use this at the servo end

Boy, certain guys can't make up their minds can they?

First, you tell us beginners NOT to use E/Z Connectors on the main control surfaces because the retainers can pop off during flight. And now you are telling me I should use them.

My 2 cents . I have used E/Z Connectors for years. If you use the metal retainers, they are great, just a pain to get on. I still use the plastic retainers and just check them on my pre-flight to make sure they are tight. 95% reliable for me. You just have to make sure they are tight on the post. The main reason that I like to use E/Z type connectors is that I can make any adjustments quickly at the servo, I just leave my push rod wires a little long in case I need it.. Yes, Z-Bends have been used and most folks recommend them. But you also see and hear to use clevis' (which I also use). So, to each their own.

When did the throttle become a control surface?

This will be my last post on this and possibly any other subject. Bruce, for some reason I don't understand, with my latest threads you have become harsh towards me. I do appreciate all the help you have provided in the past, just don't get the harshness.

Sorry about that. I saw High Plains comment about the throttle and missed yours about elevator/rudder control.

I think the connector I found gets a bad rap. I've used the ones for #2 wire on a 60 size trainer with no issues.

It should work just as well as a wheel collar. Either one has a screw that needs to be checked for tightness occasionally.
