Fabric covering

What is better Coverite or Solartex?
Where can I find Solartex in the US? I can only find UK dealers online.

I found Solartex at Balsa USA http://www.balsausa.com/store/catego...?id_category=8

A lot of guys like Coverite, but I'm not familiar with either. I should try Coverite someday, been stuck on MonoKote for ages. Good luck.

I voted 21st Century Coverite fabric because that's what I've used with great success. You'll hear all different opinions.

I'm getting ready to cover a plane. For this one I'll be going with LiteFAB from Nelson Hobby. www.nelsonhobby.com

I've used Nelson water-based paint in the past, a great product. Jerry Nelson does everything right for both RC and full scale aviation and I'm looking forward to trying what he brands as LiteFAB.

I've used both and IMHO, Solartex (or Colortex or Worldtex) is superior in most respects.

Me too!! Any of the coverings that say TEX work great!!! The 21C isn't bad though, all the fabric coverings I have used are great.

Thank you for your opinions. What I purchase will totally be decided upon by the results of this poll, by my fellow RCU members. You all will decide what I use.

Just do a Silk and Dope finish! Iron-on coverings just can match it, but Sig Koverall can come close.

I have used mostly coverite. It seems like the other ones are harder to clean. Maybe just me.

Gene just brought something up that I haven't seen mentioned. With any of the fabric coverings I always shoot them with some clear poly U for a top coat. The coverings are all fuel proof but they are all a pain to remove the engine snot and dirt off of and they tend to stain the fabric if you don't seal it. The clear coat just makes clean up easier!!;)

Solartex is ahead by 2 votes. More voters would be greatly appreciated. Will be about a month before I am ready so I would love more opinions.
