I will painting ultracote with lusterkote white primer and white paint is there any special preparation I need to do besides cleaning it, also will be painting bare balsa.</p></span>

You might want to scratch it up with some fine steel wool first, but it's not essential.

I would not paint the Ultrakote, it will not come out good in my opinion. Why didn't you just get the color you wanted? And I would not paint bare wood. You will get alot of fuel and residue on the bellypan, please wait for me to cover mine and follow my steps.

I have painted Ultracote and bare balsa with LustreKote and it works just fine.

The only problem is that LustreKote is difficult to work with on ANY surface.

If you go to the Kit Builders forum, The Covering &amp; Paint thread, you will get alot of info about painting. I started the thread to learn about painting. After reading all the info available there, along with the links to various sites, Ifeel like Ican proceed with some confidence now.
