binding trouble
I bought an ar6200 spectrum reciever to use until I have my ar7000 gets checked. I cannot seem to get it bound to my dx7 radio. I can rebind my ar7000 fine. When I bind the ar6200 the LED's go to solid when pressing the bind button. When I unplug the bind plug, the LED dims on the main reciever and goes out on the remote reciever. Any thoughts? BTW the ar7000 seems to work fine but I do not trust it after the crash.

RE: binding trouble
Sounds like a voltage problem with your flight pack, I only use 5cell packs with my 2.4 JR stuff.

RE: binding trouble
I had an issue like that with a 6200, it was a voltage problem. I had a low RX battery recharged and it was fine. (I'm using 4 cell 4.8 and haven't had a problem)

BTW the ar7000 seems to work fine but I do not trust it after the crash. 1) Charge your battery 2) Insert the bind plug in to the bind/bat channel (be sure the correct model is selected and the radio is OFF) 3) Insert the battery lead into ANY unused channel 4) Remove the bind plug after the led starts flashing 5) Depress the bind button and turn on your radio 6) Wait for the LED to stop flashing and go solid BEFORE releasing the bind plug on the back of the radio The receiver should not be bound to your selected plane. RE: binding trouble
Thanks guys. I plugged the bind plug into the charge jack as per the DX7 manual. Of course that didn't work. I then plugged into the bind slot in the reciever and that did the trick. The manual led me astray.

RE: binding trouble
I have a three wire switch from JR. I looked online and the manual for the ar6200 states that you put the plug into the bat/bind slot on the reciever. Like I stated, the ar7000 bound fine using the proceedure in the manual but the 6200 would not.

RE: binding trouble
Sorry, I have seen people trying to do this with only the two wire switches. Do you rebind after the trim filght to reset the fail safe.
Cheers |
RE: binding trouble
The three wire switch works on the 6200 as long as its plugged into the batt bind port.
There's nothing mysterious going on, the bind plug shorts signal and ground on the batt/bind port. |
