.61 to .91 swap

ok guys i would like to change out my magnum XL .61 to a os .91 2 stroke so would these have the same footprint ? or would i have to change mounts ? the model is a .60-.90 size so i have room if i could get it to bolt in.

thank you

If you go to Tower Hobbies website you will find they list the dimensions you need to compare the 2 engines.

Here at rcuniverse you may compare the engines side by side. Click on Users Reviews tab, under it compare products and you see this sign >> click and see research engines. You would get the comparison for both engines side by side and of course users reviews as well.

I hope it helps

Zilla 570 You are welcome.

I forgot to mention at rcuniverse engine comparison you can compare 3 engines at the same time side by side.

All the best and happy flying:D

Great Planes has an adjustable engine mount for 60-90 sized engines. I'm running a 95AX in a Big Stik 60 without any problems. I think the 95ax has the same mounting dimensions as the 75AX, which is supposedly the same as the 61FX.

RE: .61 to .91 swap

Is the XL 61 a two stroke, or is it the four stroke? If it's a two stroke, the mounting dimensions are probably the same as the OS 91 two stroke.
