ok guys i would like to change out my magnum XL .61 to a os .91 2 stroke so would these have the same footprint ? or would i have to change mounts ? the model is a .60-.90 size so i have room if i could get it to bolt in.

Here at rcuniverse you may compare the engines side by side. Click on Users Reviews tab, under it compare products and you see this sign >> click and see research engines. You would get the comparison for both engines side by side and of course users reviews as well.

Great Planes has an adjustable engine mount for 60-90 sized engines. I'm running a 95AX in a Big Stik 60 without any problems. I think the 95ax has the same mounting dimensions as the 75AX, which is supposedly the same as the 61FX.

Is the XL 61 a two stroke, or is it the four stroke? If it's a two stroke, the mounting dimensions are probably the same as the OS 91 two stroke.
