Default Brushless motor

I noticed this morning after a flight, when turning the engine on the stand, that the propeller moved forward by at least 1/4". Is it normal for the rotating housing to act like that? I broke the shaft last week and I installed the propeller the other end.
I found the answer. There is a retaining lock washer on the shaft, I lost it when the shaft broke. No place to install another one, also the engine is scraped!
