Default PROBLEM WITH GEAR DRIVE!

I have a Vermont Belle 1300 with a Himax 2825 / 3643 motor. When applying power, the torque of the motor will cause the motor to separate from the gearbox. This is a big problem since it twists the wires and spews the gears inside the airplane. Has anyone discovered the secret to keeping high torque motors from twisting (separating) themselves off their gearboxes?
Thanks,
Frank

The gearbox instructions should include a step that describes how to fasten the motor to the gearbox.

What may be necessary is simply a wrap or two of electrical tape to make the gearbox/motor fit tighter.

What gearbox are you trying to use?

What about some CA super glue. That is what I used when I had the same problem. I'll deal with removing it when the time comes.

The gearbox is a Promaxx 4.3:1. I like your idea about simply using tape and I'll also use some blue Loktite.
Thanks,
Frank

Here's a photo of my setup with the gearbox that tends to separate under load.
