brushless/lipo estarter
It was THIS forum which caused me to take the plunge and purchase my first plane,a slow stick. All the excellent info and suggestions(plus a flight sim)made my first time efforts very rewarding.I have been flying it for a while now,and I want to move up to the estarter. I have the estarter kit,but would like to use a go brushless motor and a lipoly battery. My two main concerns are:will a GB motor make enough power?,and getting the CG correct with a much lighter battery.(thunderpower 1300).It looks like there is plenty of room in the fuse to move the battery forward.
Does anyone have a good setup for an estarter?I would rather do it better/right the first time around.I have read many posts so far,but am probably missing something.

RE: brushless/lipo estarter
If you got the battery, try the stock motor first. These planes fly quite well on the cheap EPS300C.
I had an Astro 010 laying around that I used in a GWS EPS gearbox customized by Aeromicro. It is the 3.75:1 ratio, IIRC. On a 2S Etec LiPoly and a 9x7 prop, power is just as good as before, if not better. With the 3S LiPoly, hold on to your britches.
