Default Exp. with DIY brushless motor from Aircraft-world?

For $30 this looks like a cool little motor, but has anyone built and used this motor?

It says it should be good for about ten amps, but does anyone have any other numbers for this?

thanx!

Default RE: Exp. with DIY brushless motor from Aircraft-world?

I looked at them a while back, I thought it would be fun to build my own motor.

I didnt get one because I didnt even know if it would work with any of my planes. Im relatively new to this stuff and know zilcho about brushless motors, how to choose one, what the deal is with the windings, what prop to use on it, what gearbox to use, what battery to use, etc.

From what I can tell the motor looks like it could be used in place of a speed 400, but I dont know.
