I have bought this motor for my next glider project. It is six turn and with 3.3:1 planetary gear on. I thought it had relatively good spec for that cost ($110 from tower hobbies). It is just a bit heavy side - appx. 5.5oz.

I did not find many people either using it or recommending it. Is anything wrong with this motor? I would be happy to hear from your experiences.

I haven't heard much buzz about the Permax motors, myself. Multiplex is a good brand, though, and I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with the motors themselves. They're just not that popular.
