BP21 On A 15oz Plane With 3 Cell Lipo. What Size Prop?
Most of us Stryker owners are using the 7x6 APC prop on the BP21 running 3 cell lipos (8C or higher). It's a good combination of speed and power on this plane that weighs roughly 21 or so ounces. I've got a Challenger that I'm in the process of converting over to standard electronics using a BP21 and 3 cell 2000ma 10C lipos. Since this plane weighs around 15 ounces I'm guessing I'll need to go to a different prop for best results. Does anybody have a prop size to suggest?

An 8x4 GWS HD is about as big as you can safely go with that motor - mine drew 14.6A @ 10.9v (from a Power Supply) with that prop and got hot fast - but with a 3s pack dropping voltage under load, that prop is probably okay.
I got 675g (23.77oz) thrust @ 42.6mph from that test (156W - 4.33g/W)
Cheers, Phil

Thanks to you both for the response. Right now I've got two potential choices from what I gather. A 7x4 or a 8x4. What would be the advantages of one over the other?

7x4 may not give you enough thrust - I reckon the 8x4 is the best bet - especially if you don't hold the left stick at WOT all the time.
