Looking for replacement motor for Yak
I bought a Extreme flight Yak 55. It's about 14oz and came with a 20 size motor, speed controller, and prop. I use a Thunderpower 1320 3 cell pack. I want to get away from the gearbox and go with a outrunner but don't know what size to use. I also don't know the amp rating of the esc that came in the package. Can anyone help me out please?
I'm actually putting all the gear in a new Hobby Lobby Extra that is almost identicle to the Yak and it's flying weight is 14oz.

14oz = 400gram.
If you want to do 3D you need at least 300Watt/kilo which calls for close to 150 Watt for you. Look for a motor in that range.
Just an example: AXI 2212/26 spinning an APC 9x3,8SF will do the job, max amperes close to 12 on 3S LiPo...
