Default Dynam Skybus Motor replacement

http://www.nitroplanes.com/60a-dy8931-skybus-rtf.html

I seemed to have smoked the number one motor. I want to replace both and the only info I have is that they are 11.1V 1100 KV, each on a 40A ESC. What do I need to lok for in a similar replacement? In other words, DO I just need another 1100 KV-rated motor? Anything from here:

I've been flying for a while but this is my first motor replacement. Any help would be appreciated.

What type of motors are these mysterious 1100Kv ones... outrunner or inrunner? If they are outrunners it should not be hard to find two new ones of similar size and weight (and of course Kv). Obviously you need a matched pair since any new 1100Kv motor is not going to be suited to exactly match the performance.

Default RE: Dynam Skybus Motor replacement

The motors have no markings on them at all and the only info I have is what the manuf site says: 1100 KV.
However, after some more troubleshooting, I now believe it is the ESC that has crapped out. I didn't know they could do this, but what's happening is when the throttle is advanced, the motor stutters (likes a clutch is slipping) then finally spins up, but not to the same speed as the other motor. The power leads form the battery are Y-spliced to each ESC so I swapped the motors on the ESC's and the problem followed the ESC, not the motor. Anyway, Nitroplanes is being kind enough to exchange the ESC for me, so hopefully that will be the end of it.
