Wattage S 3 Viking issues

Wired up the New motors and didnt have enough power to roll accross the floor? Heres what I have. 2 erc 400BL 1200kv highperformance motors. Two excede rc proton 30A esc and running off a 3s 11.1v 2100mah battery. The esc are tied together with a y lead and plugged into the reciever throttle. The battery power is spluced to have a red and black to both ESC? Any help would be great alot of time and money invested and realy want this one to fly.

What size prop are you spinning and what is the weight of the plane? Looks like the prop size is 9x5 for those motors.

Is the TX throttle calibrated for full range?

RE: Wattage S 3 Viking issues

Thanx Dr. got it all wired but don't seem like I am getting enough thrust ????? i have the ESC power leads spliced together. OK ? then i have the ESC servo wires running into a y plug to the reciever ? OK i seem to have more power when only one is hooked up. Should I run each motor off a seperate battery and y the throttle to the reciever? Is there a wiring drawing any where to show two esc to one battery. I am fairly new to double motors let alone jets and don,t want to crash this jet. It is a hard kit to find from what I am reading. Any help would be great.

Wattage EDF's running on 3s with 1200Kv motors?????????.... I thought you'd need 3000-4000Kv?

EDFs reqiure a much higher kv rated motor in comparison to a regular prop job. You got to remember, you only have a fan(55,70,90mm) trying to provide thrust whereas a propeller for the same size/weight model, you might have 10"/12"/14" prop. Big difference. The way to compensate for that difference, is turn that fan as fast as it'll go!!<div>Kev:D</div>
