Default New Engine Selection for Dtrax Evader

Howdy yall. Im rebuilding my Duratrax Evader Stadium truck I beat the ever living F*$! out of as a kid. Everythings a go, she just needs a new engine. Are there any of yall out there who have had this vehicle in the past or do have one and have replaced the motor? I know O.S. .18 cv is compatable as well as HPI T and G 3.0 (which one of these is better hehe) I just like options so any advide would be great!

The sizes are: side to side 11mm but also have holes for 22mm
opposite side is 31.4mm

another question, will anywhere between 31 and 32 mm be acceptable or do the specs need to be right on.
Thanks!</p>

ANY small block (.12-.20, or up to 3.4cc) will fit the mounts. Don't fret too much about the measurements, 1-2mm difference is fine. Make sure you buy an engine with the same style shaft as your stock one.

OS .18cvrx is the pull start engine for your truck. OS .18 cvr is the same motor without the pull starter. Have modified 4 duratrax evaders with this mill, top notch replacement. You will break transmission gears with this engine! Make sure you don't lock the slipper all the way tight she has much more power than the original .18 rtr engine. Have fun.

An 18cvr would kind of be overkill for an evader... especially if you found a decent pipe. You would wear out whatever is left of that truck twice as fast as you normally would. A 15cv-x would be a perfect fit, and provide a fair amount of power over the crappy stock engine.

OK I have been looking in to the .18 cv-r and I would like to be taking this truck to race ready applications. Breaking a few parts means more work for me to have fun with but I am going to do my best to stay ahead of that game. Soo if I choose to go with this engine can you aid me in finding a header. Im looking for the low end power since the engine will easily help me reach 50 after new gearing. Now I know this engine will supply adequate power and beyond so must i ask is it highly necessary to replace the diff gears with alluminum hop ups?
