Default Not much pinch but works like new?

I have a jammin JPX .21 with about 3 gallons in it, i got it just broken in, and it never had that much pinch, it doesn't seem to be loosing anymore, and it is brutal powerful and runs like clockwork (puts a nova P5X to shame)

are some engines just lower compressions than others, or what?

I have two Traxxas 2.5 engines that are the same way. I don't think pinch is too important. as long as there is good cranking compression the engine will run well. Incidentally AAC engines have no discernable pinch and they run very well. I have an Enya CX .11 with a chromed aluminum liner and it screams.

These engines only have pinch when you turn them over by hand. When they're running, a thin film of oil keeps the piston from sticking to the cylinder.

JPX21. Mmm. Sick, sick engines, I nearly bought one just before I gave up nitro after seeing it go.
