I am looking for a motor for a new HPI R40 I will be ordering. Im currently looking at the
HPI Nitro Star .12R XS
Team Orion Wasp .12 Roar
Trinity Sirio .12 EVO 2 5-Port
Rossi/Team Trinity .12 Pixy

My main question is will I see much diffrence between these 4 motors? There specs are fairly close, other than the pixy with a slightly higher max rpm, but I dont think I will see the peak rpms on the track straight that I will be running at http://www.revrace.com/Home.cfm .
So should I save my money and go with the lower priced HPI XS, or the Orion Wasp and spend the extra on a better pipe or go all out with the Siro, or pixy with a ok pipe. I am trying to stay under $225 motor and pipe.

Personally, of the 4 you listed, i'd go with the Wasp. I have yet to here any complaints about that engine, and the guys i've seen using them, are nasty fast.

id go with sirio or rossi cuz a lot of racers use those engine

As it looks right now I am deciding between the HPI and the Wasp, as the HPI is made by Novarossi.
Thanks for the offer BadBoy but I have a company I have delt with for about 10 years now that I can get the Hpi delivered for $120 and the wasp for $140. I order most my stuff from them, kinda one of those I scratch your back you scratch mine deals, he sponsored a nitro boat I ran a few times.
I ordered the R40 today and the servos, carbon-fiber bumper plate, and machined/lowered motor mounts, so by the time I get the kit and put it together the next paycheck should be here and time to order the motor. Thanks again and keep the suggestions coming
