Default .18 Hot Bodie Engine Cutting Out On High RPM

My brother has a Hot Bodies .18 Engine that cuts out on high RPM's.

It's fine ticking over, and fine on half throttle- 3/4 throttle but when it's at full throttle for 3-4 seconds it cuts out.

It doesn't splutter or cough, just cuts out.

Tried diffeent high speed needle settings from 2 turns - 4 turns.

Seems to be getting to hot too quick as well. It doesn't have any leaks or any noticable problems with the engine.

Can anybody shed some light?

Cheers, Jack

I'm pretty sure that you are running too lean.

The guy in the shop said too lean and he richened it up a bit.

He said the problems with these engines are you cant adjust the low end speed...

Something like that... Didn't quite catch on to what he was saying...

He also said compression was a little crappy... Which is fair, its had nearly a gallon through it while it's bean a little to lean...

Does bad compression mean new engine time? Or would a new piston liner/sleeve and conrod ect sort this?

Cheers..
