Default Slide Carb Return Spring?

What is th proper way to put a throttle return spring on a slide carb (in a T Maxx). I found these, but I'm not sure how they work.

Right now I have a spring from the front bulhead to the servo arm. I think ideal would be to have it on the carb. The newera spring looks simple and cheap, but I'd like to build something myself. Any Ideas?

Thanks

I don't know the t-maxx, But on my LST it goes right on the carb, The point of the spring is to close the carb if you loose signal, you can use a strong elastic to. Hope that helps, A little
