Default engine pre heating

can you all give me your opinions on if it would be beneficial to pre heat your engines to almost running tempreture before starting.thanks

In the long run, I think it does help a little. It also makes the car a lot easier to start. I hold a blow dryer on the cooling head until it gets pretty warm (almost hot), then run downstairs and outside and start it quick as possible. lol. (dont want it to cool down). My t-maxx usually starts in about 3-5 pulls after doing this. (and that is in below freezing temps. like 10-20 degrees or lower)
