Usually an erratic idle is the result of a lean low-end, but if you've tried richening it and it hasn't made any difference i'd suggest an air leak.

Yeah, I had a similar problem like that before and it took me a long time to work out that I had a screw come off the carburetor mounting. Make sure there all there.

I've got a brand new TNX that has been broken in and I don't know what the hell LSN and HSN means. The bottom needle is on factory setting is at factory setting (one turn). The smaller screw I haven't touched yet but the top needle that adjust the mixture is half a turn in from factory setting. Any suggestion in plain english pleeese.

Plain English:
L ow
S peed
N eedle
H igh
S peed
N eedle.
The bottom needle? Your LSN?
The smaller screw just might be your idle screw. But it's usually lower than both your LSN and HSN.

Thanx for the explanation! So the LSN controls the power from idle to mid throttle and the HSN is when it goes past mid throttle? So if I want stronger pull-away, do I srew the LSN in or out? And for higher straightline speed I adjust the HSN in?
