.15 rebuild
Okay i need to rebuild my engine because i was driving on a beach and the air filter came off and it sucked in a lot of sand screwing over the engine. I want to know if i buy a piston and sleeve for a .15 will it fit any .15 or is every .15 different? thanks.

RE: .15 rebuild
Every one is different. You will need the specific piston and sleeve for your engine. You should also replace the rear bearing. Sand likely got into it too and although it may feel smooth, at 30,000 rpm, the slightest nick will rip it apart sending more pieces of metal through your freshly rebuilt engine.

RE: .15 rebuild
I just took it appart and it looks pretty bad. Its ready for a complete over haul it needs bearings, crank, sleeve, piston and a few other parts. So i want to buy a new engine because i have never liked mine anways. Since im only 14 i dont have alot of money to spend.
I was woundering if this would be a good engine?[link=http://www.hpiracing.com/press/pr15101.htm]hpi .15[/link]. Would it be a good engine for porting? I would be putting this in a tmaxx. If i ported it would it have decent power for that size truck. I would love to get a 2.5 but it is to much $. Also any other good engines not over 120$. Thanks for the help.
