I was wondering if a trx 3.3 engine would fit in a nitro evader st?

I'm sure it will but dont know whey you would want to. You would have to mod the evader to get it to fit. You could get a .18cvr and that should be a direct drop in. At least I think it is. Maybe someone else can chime in.

I wouldnt get a trx3.3 because I always have problems with trx motors but os on the other hand I can say is good things about that motor. Direct drop in, very fast probably to fast for the car, very very easy to tune and break in.

The O.S .18cvr has more power then the 3.3 does. The 3.3 is not a fast engine in any way, and the .18cvr as far as I know is a direct drop in. Nhats as far as I know. I would suggest against the 3.3 but if you trully want to good luck.

The TRX 3.3 is a very good engine lots of power in a .15 sized block and do not always believe the hp the ebgine manufacters advertise remeber that is their lively hood. Their job is to sell you engine even it meens doctoring the conditions, like how do you know when they say 1.5 hp they did not use 60% nitro and were running it at 300 degrees, you do not. I have seen a O.S. .18 tz offroad and a O.S. 18 cvr in a nitro evader and I would bet money that If you were to put a TRX 3.3 in your evader you will like it better. It has the perfect combination of power, torque, and rpm.

Lunchboxx. I know hwo things are done. Kinda like how traxxas said the 2.5r with a resonator pipe will hit 50,000 rpm's. I know how company's work. Traxxas also does it to. I have seen the 2.5r and the 3.3 and they just do not impress me. The 3.3 was just a big let down as everyone was saying oh how it just has so much power and it's just going to blow away any other engine of it's size. Just to see it then not even take another glance at it.

The O.S is still the way to go. With just as much as the power as the 3.3 does. I think you would have to mod the evader pretty heavily to get it in there with the ez-start attached. I'm not saying that it cant be done but in the end is it worth it. You could buy a tiger drive or a roto start for the .18cvr and not have to mod it nearly as much if at all.

But good luck in your endeavor

pull start or shaft start is the only way to, the ammount of modification it would take to make the TRX 3.3 fit might actualy affect the structural integrity of the truck when it is under load.

Like I said I have seen all versions of the O.S. .18 running in front of me, and I have seen both the TRX 2.5 and TRX 3.3 run and there really is no difference in power between a O.S. .18 and a TRX 3.3 . Now if you get a O.S. .18 ported by a good modifier and try to compare that to a stock TRX 3.3 then yes there is no comparison.

Exactly what I am saying. You probably could mod it but you would have to mod so much for the ez-start to fit that even at a simple bump the thing could break. I dont think that you would want to put in something that would take away so much integrity from the vehicle. But thats just me.
