Hi there i have got a 1/10 nitro buggy.
Recently i have notice that after about 5 mins of runnin the engine begins to lose power? There seems to be little force left behind the wheels and the engine makes a bogging cluttered sound. I have tried to make the fuel mix richer but the problem still continues. The heatsink seems to be really hot. Could this be the engine overheating? Or an internal problem any help would be great thanks

Sounds like an air leak on the engine itself to me. I had exactly the same problem from a cen .16 and then found out from fuel flying out the front beating if it was overprimed. The leak could be from the carb seat or backplate but is more likely from the front bearing. It sounds like the engine runs fine when cold, but when it warms up the crankcase is expanding more than the bearing under heat, and is losing the seal with the bearing. If its bad when cold as well, then its probably less serious and could just be a fuel line or the tank. You will problaby need a new bearing, and you might as well seal the engine as well when you take it apart (how to seal an engine: http://www.savage-central.com/module...wtopic&t=54465 ) [&o] Sorry about the bad news, I was annoyed too.[&o]

In that case you could probably just seal it and (hopefully) itll run ok. How big is the leak?, is it just a bit oily or more? If its more than just a little bit of oil/fuel, then that must be it.
