could someone help me.....i installed my other engine and when i start it straight revs high even though i have the idle set low.........

how far open is the gap at idle, have you reset the needles, have you tried tuning it, have you sealed for air leaks, read the nitro guide at the top of this forum, this thread is like right underneath it, the engine will rev when it is running lean, or it gets more air

thats just a prep......im looking for a solution why my engine revs high even though it is set right

air leak[&o] sounds like its getting extra air causing it to run lean.

everything is sealed even the back made a custom gasket to go on it.....a cut to fit thick gasket made a darn good one too......

did ya seal it with RTV? how about the carb base,seal it?

doesnt matter how good your homemade gasket was, you need to slea it with rtv silicone because it seals every crack if you do it right
