"Topend" you can achieve using higher gearing. Is this your first nitro vehicle? Do you ever intend to race it?

Don't you realize? newbs can't make decisions on their own, they want you to tell them "buy this and this, you'll need this, this and this too".

Then newbs take the car into a shop and have the guy install stuff on it for 60 bucks an hour, then when it comes home they are overwhelmed by the simplest tasks like tuning, engine tear downs, gluing tires ETC.

believe me I was one of them 2 years ago.

I say use the stock engine and practice first n how to tune and get good performacne out of it. Also, while driving it, practice in getting your handling skills up. By the time you get an aftemarket enging, if you control the speed of your RTR engine, you migt just be able to move up to the next lvel of learning to drive your car with an aftermarket engine.

I hope you knew that there is REALLY a Saito 125 Aircraft engine. only 10,000 RPM though. link [link=http://cgi.ebay.com/Saito-125-Aircraft-Engine-with-Muffler_W0QQitemZ310019133196QQcmdZViewItem]HERE[/link]
but did you mean .125 which is never made and you made the whole thing up, or did you mean 125 which exists?

10,000 would be pushing it, more like 9600 rpm. and that would be 1.25 cubic inch.

I meant the 125, I'm used to nitro engines so the period naturally found its way before the number
