It is time for me to invest in a very long lasting igniter. I am very tired of screwing around with D alkaline cells, need something to last me a day of running and this igniter right here claims exactly that.

what do you guys think about this? should be decent. Are there any potentially better ones? what would your experience be with this igniter? any other recommendations? thanks

I picked up the Blue one this year as a back up to my Super Hot shot 2. Seems to be a well build unit. Seems to be good so far have not had much of a chance to really test mine out much as have not gotten full into race season yet but works good so far for me.

i just picked one up for my new st-1 and was wondering if it was money well spent. hoe do i read the meter for plug status?

OH yeah I just remembered one thing. I had to cycle the cell with my good charger as the wall charger did not do the job charging it up the first time. After that is was good to go. I hate wall chargers anyway.

I've had this one for 2 years already, its pretty good. The top cap isnt completely metal, so if you fiddle with it too much you can strip it a bit easily, but other than that it can last me for months with weekend use. Tom.

do you guys know if there's a special type of cell in there or is it a regular D or sub-C?

that is very convenient! so you can just go ahead and buy a regular sub-C from a convenience store and replace what's inside??? (not that i would do that)

Yes, I bought an extra one for back up and it works fine. I've never needed it though, the stock one lasts forever..
