Default Fuel filter

I'm using a fuel filter like the one in the first link. At first, it worked fine and improved performance by quite a lot.
Now, even with everything the way it was, the actual filter (second link) blocks the little hole where fuel enters the engine... In other words, the fuel will enter the canister fine, but it will not leave it so fuel cannot travel at all due to the pressure. Is there any way to fix that?
I'm not sure if I'm making enough sense, so just ask me if I'm too confusing...

Why did you take out the filter stone? You can try yo turn the filter around 180 degrees. If all else fails, put the filter stone back in.

What filter stone? I didn't take anything out...
When I took the line off the gas tank, I tried blowing and no air came out the other side. That is what I mean.

I have found that the best filters are the ones with a single brass or aluminum screen in the middle. It takes alot of debris to clog them.

Have you used any of these? I can't open the packaging at the LHS so I'm just gonna ask people with experience.

The elongated Axial filters are the cartridge type. They're okay. The Dubro ones are the single screen kind. I use them most of the time.

I think maybe the reason it was increasing your engine performance is because it was leaning out your car. That will ruin it and i agree with Collector. Buy one with an aluminum screen. That won't clog any and it won't lean out your engine.
