I want to get a backup engine for 8T. there are so many to choose from i have ran o.s , Piccos & Axial engines , and i am used to the big block .28. I just wounder if i should try something new and get out of my comfront zone. any ideas or advice would be apperciated.

Try a Go Tech 6 port .25. It is the best of both worlds, it has more torque than a .21 and better fuel economy than a .28.

Here are a couple of video of a Go Tech 7 port turbo .21

Try a .21 instead of a .28 you may be surprised, try the JPX .21 its a picco motor.

Keep an identical backup as your main engine. Makes it easier to get used to the backup if you need to change.
