When changing between fuels you need to re-tune the engine.

Higher nitro percentages require richer needle settings to compensate for the extra oxygen being introduced (Nitro methane is CH3NO2)

Factory settings are usually on the rich side so yes, that'd be a good start. However you'll probably have some fine tuning to do from there to get it perfect.

Yes, when switching fuels you usually have to tune your engine. Higher percent fuels run the engine at a hotter temperature, so it usually has to be set a bit richer.

You should set your engines needles to factory settings then go from there depending how your RC is running. It would also be a good idea to pick up a temperature guage if you do not all ready have one.

nost engines are shimmed for 20% out of the box the last few i have had say if you run 16 % remove a shim or if you run 30% add a shim just ritchen a bit hsn and if you ritchen lsn it will slow ithe idle a bit the 20% is burning better so you have to ritchen

Like said earlier, you need to richen up but not necesary all the way to factory settings. Start with 1/2 turn on the HSN and maybe 3 hours on the LSN. That should be plenty.

OK you upped the nitro content but what is your oil content between the two fuels? Yes you have to retune but oil content has as much to do with tuning as nitro content. Keep oil content to 10-12%.
