i have a werks picco .21. am having trouble keeping my temps dowm, and if i richen it any more it runs like crap, and it blows lots of smoke. i have sealed the engine, put a new front bearing in, looks like its has a small leak again though. i am wondering if my sleeve and piston worn out, would that cause the temps to be high. not sure what else to do, any help would be great thanks

Is this a new problem, or have you always had this problem?
Besides the useful posts above, you might check out your fuel tank pressure system. Tank lid o-rings can get worn and the lid open during a run.....leans things out. Crack in tubing near the pipe or tank nipple.
Worn out engine...often they die shortly after they start...once everything warms up, all compression is lost.
Tuning.....biggest culprit of them all....the notorious too rich LSN and too lean HSN can easily cause your problem. You think you are OK as the engine accelerates well.....but it is running on excess fuel built up in the crankcase due to a rich LSN. Eventually that gets used up and you wind up running based on the HSN which is too lean and the engine gets hot.
Some people are a little picky about thier temps....just how hot is it? Anything between 220 and 290F can be typical. Try to tune for best performance....rich enough the engine doesn't sound like it wants to blow-up (high rpm screaming) and an obvious smoke trail at WOT. Check temps then. I don't worry too much, but definately like to see the temp below 300F as the engine leans out due to runnning out of fuel.

the temps have gotten up above 300, but i like to keep an eye on it so its never there for long. had this problem for about 4 gallons. it does always seem to run awesome when first started, has lots of power, then once it is warmed up it starts boggin and not running good, i will try too lean out my lsn and richen my hsn, and see if that helps. there have been a few days where it ran great all day at 280, but i was always told thats too hot...

yup had an air leak, forgot to put the copper washer on the glow plug, put that on and was able to run a tank around 270 with lots of power. and that was running pretty hard, its really slick and icy on the streets right now so it was impossible to drive straight, lots of donuts
