yeah, without the plug theres a little bit less compression, but it looks like the piston is almost reaching topdeadcenter. its like the shaft locks up when it gets almost all the way up. I havent gotten to the hair dryer yet, im gonna do it after i finish my homework.

i have o experience with the p5, only an old nova. but i can tell you that the grp screams. if i remember right, the .21 and .28 both hit 43k rpm on a dyno stock. if the p5 is a budget motor at all, i believe the grp should have a better power band.

so from what you all say, its normal to have so much pinch that a starter box wont be able to turn the flywheel when the engine is cold?
i didnt get to heating it up today, so one more ?'s
are you supposed to turn the flywheel when you are heating the engine up with a hair dryer?

when you start the engine it should be at bdc, as well as when your done runng it. if you leave the piston up, it will pinck the piston excessively when the motor cools, and you'll start to lose compression faster.
