hi i own a mgt 3.0 and I HATE WHEN IT IS SOOO FUSSY TO START its a nice truck but i've ripped out the pull starter numerous times and it costs 25 dollars each ugh id get a rotostart or pro start just google it and you'll find it i'm sure about 35 dollars or so you need the backplate though i got a pro start but it came with no battery or backplate but it was only 20 bucks what model and make is your car a pic of the engine would be nice so i could see if there's even room to stick a roto-start hex to it.
thanx, matt

Hello, I'm to new to nitro, I started out with the pull start, didnt like it. I had problems starting my truck, witch had nothing to do w/the pull start. But if you have to keep pulling you will get blisters or the pull start will brake. Electric is somuch easer. You can get a pull start to begin, and update later they are not expensive, this way you decide.

yeah i used to get blisters every day and they stayed there if i didn't take a break. i tried to wear gloves. now my trucks tuned up better and somehow works better because i know to prime it which i didn't the first three months i just waited and put my finger over the exhaust and pulled some. good times, good times.

Here's some very good LST2 advice: FORGET THE OS 30, get yourself an LRP Spec 3 or Losi 454(identical..), and put on a Mach 427 Spinstart backplate.. I hate pullstarts for MT's.. Get it started, go to put the body on, it cuts out.. Much easier to start with Spin-start. Plus the Losi spinstart doesn't have as many OWB slippage issues as the HPI Rotostart.. My Losi Spinstart is 2 1/2 years old and flawless.. Have NEVER had OWB slippage - and I tend to run rich, and with oily SW fuel...
