well im pretty unexperienced in the rc world but how do you know when you blown your engine or damged it i have a jato 3.3 and a few times i ran it to lean because i seen smoke coming from the engine i heard if the engine when idel stall its a sympton of a blown engine latley its been doing that also whats the rite temp for a traxxas 3.3 engine it says in the manul 270 is the max is that to high?

Eh, the smoke could be anything really, water, burning oil, etc... But yes 270 really should be the max. Can you start it when at running temp ok? Thats when you can tell it's going out. Other way to tell is if it has lost it's power, compaired to when you bought it.

Try and richen it up at LEAST an 1/8th of a turn and see where it goes from there, won't hurt to go 1/4 of a turn.
