Default Refridgerating Nitro?

As the title suggests, should Nitro Methane be stored in a fridge? We all know the rules about keeping nitro, keep it (if possible) dry, cool, away from direct sunlight and squeeze out excess air from the bottle. Then shouldn't storing it in a fridge be logical? Thanks and Happy Australia Day

hey ryana, hope you'd had a good aust. day yesterday. I don't think it's too safe to put it in the fridge, just in case some one might drink it if they are not thinking straight.

I don't know about harvey bay too much, excpet going to fraser island.... hehehe , but down here in brisy it gets qutie warm, i'd just store in the garage... but i just store in my room.

There are really only two rules for keeping fuel fresh. The most important is that the container be completely airtight so it can't "breathe" with any temperature changes. Breathing out is ok (except for flammable vapours ) but breathing in allows moisture in the air to get into the container and the moisture is instantly absorbed by the methanol. The next most important thing is to keep it out of direct sunlight because the UV from sunlight can degrade the nitro content of the fuel over time. A metal can obviously is OK but store clear plastic containers in the shade.
