Help
How do you know if your'e glow plug is burned out??
|
RE: Help
you look at it, it will be broken and extremely thin, i think my glow plug guide could help a little
|
RE: Help
Well i look at and it kinda looks burned in the bottom part, but i dont know if that's normal??
|
RE: Help
define burned, pics are nice
|
RE: Help
I know i wish i had a cam.. But it look's jus black on the bottom and there's a little tiny spring on the bottom of it..

RE: Help
Test it. Hold it with pliers on the threads and plug the glow igniter into it. Mine (even the new ones) never glow all the way to the tip, but I'd estimate that you have maybe one coil between the very top and the bright, lit part.

RE: Help
Their not supposed to glow all the way to the tip when testing. It only does that when its actually firing up inside the engine. If the element that sticks out is gray and intact and lighting up orangey/red then the plug should be fine.
Usually when your car is idling when you start it up and when you take out the igniter the revs change drastically, it either means your plug isnt in good condition or your plugs heat range is too cold for the engine |
RE: Help
No my car wont even start, i think it's because of this glow plug, that's my problem...
|
RE: Help
well then do what we say, test it and see how well it glows, do that instead of saying "i think the glow plug is my problem"
|
RE: Help
It doesnt glow at all..
|
RE: Help
simple enough, now you should be able to find out what you need to do to fix it, we wont spoon feed you for every problem
|
RE: Help
LoL i know, im just gonna buy a new one, and expect you guys to help my ass out for my other rc issues that i have... lol
|
RE: Help
put the glow plug in your glow start and if the glow plug turns red it is good and if it does not turn red thene it is out.
