RE: 30% Carden Extra CG
Per the instruction manual from Carden:
"The center of gravity indicated on the plans is 6 3/8" back form the Leading Edge of the Wing at the Root. This converts to approximately 3 1/4" back from the Leading Edge of the Wing at the Tip".

RE: 30% Carden Extra CG
Thanks for the CG data. I also need control throw settings to start out with. I put a 3W75 in this and think I'm going to love this aircraft too.

RE: 30% Carden Extra CG
High Rate Low Rate
AIlerons : 1" 5/8"
Rudder : 30 deg 30 deg
Elevator : 3/4" 1/2
No Low and High on elevator - I put fullthrow on it and it flies stable
The rudder needs full throw to fly level Knife edge with my engine which is a Zenoah G-62 - 22/10 Zinger, It will just start to pull up - you will be just fine with 3w-75
I am also changing to a Bambula Prop, Should help out quite a bit. Zingers Stink as far as the flexibility and flattening out at full rpm's is concerned.
Be cautious with the tip stall. It will sneak up on you when least expected. It will fly very slow but has a rolling tendancy to the left if you are not careful in landings. Otherwise it will grease in like nobody's business!
I did'nt like the way Carden set up there control surfaces. It just does not give enough throw for the elevator and ailerons, for excessive 3-d maneuvers anyway, But that is'nt my style anyhow.
