35% Carden Extra 260 cowling
Hi Guys I,m looking for some help.
I have a 33% AW Extra 260 and just simply don,t like the looks of the cowl and the oversized canopy.
I,m hoping to get a 35% Extra 260 cowl and modify it to fit my Extra.
The dimensions I need before ordering one are the width and the height of the cowl at the back were it meets the fuse.
I also plan or fabricating a new canopy frame to match the new cowl outline.
If some could measure and post the dimensions of theres that would be awesome.
thx
Dave

I've got both Planes and ask why? To me the view isn't worth the climb. That Aeroworks 33% Extra 260 is a fantastic Plane and esthetics are great. Fly it and enjoy it.

RE: 35% Carden Extra 260 cowling
I,m with you, except I like to climb.
Seriously though I,d like to change the color scheme as well so that I,m not flying yet another AW Extra 260 at our club.
I figure I,ve got another 3 months of none flying weather. So a project that will change my planes aesthetics isn,t a problem.
I,ve always liked the looks of the Carden Extra 260 but don,t have a vehicle that can easily
transport a 10" longer 35% plane. Therefore I,m staying with the 33% AW for now but would like to alter it to my liking.
