The word I have gotten from CEN about the care packages is that the second batch of spur gears, after testing the poop out of them, was not to their liking so they, and we, are waiting for the machined gears to come in so that those can be included in the care packages. This should be in like one or two weeks. This is fine with me as the machined spur gears were originally supposed to be an upgrade, and machined gears should be bullettproof.

FYI,
The Hardened/machined Steel spur gears have arrived, thus the care packages are complete and have started to ship priority mail. Thanks for your patience in this matter.

I'm new to this site and found it my searching for CEN genesis problems. I have had nothing but problems with my genesis since break in! It looks like to me that there was definetly no enough R&D in this one. I've got the new gears installed. Now the pinions break! Fixed that, now the main shaft in the transmittion twisted the nut and threads right off! WHAT'S NEXT??? Was anything on this truck made to withstand 5hp at all? I haven't even got to go off the asphalt yet! After break in was done, I have been able to run it two times for 2 minutes per time. I can't explain the dissapointment after spending break in time and customizing time and $600+, to have to spend more money to break it again and again. It's for sale I guess if anyone is interested, I can't afford the repair bill to fun ratio on this thing. At least not when I can go out and thrash my T-Maxx and walk away with no problems.

Thadius,
Sorry to hear that you are having problems. Feel free to call our customer-service line and they can assist you the best they can. You seem to have some very un-orthadox problems. We have never seen a main-shaft sheer off like that. Did it happen when you were tightening the nut?

@CEN Racing:
Hi CEN Racing,
my output shaft GS094 has broken and i got a replacement part from our german importeur today! Which is the fastest way to get the transmission out of the chassis?
I think the power of the truck is so high, and therefore the output shaft broke! In the genesis box was a differential beavel gear: If i install this center diff beavel gear the transmission must be not so charged???
Thx for the Info!

Patrick,
The easiest way to remove the center transmission is by taking the side screws off of the side plate which has the tank on it. Then remove the four other screws on the other side that holds the center transmission in. The center transmission will drop out from underneath the truck.

If i understand it correct i mustn´t take off the front and the rear end! Only the side screws of the transmission and then i can pull the transmission out of the truck???
Is it better to install the center diff?? Can i take care of the transmission if i install the center diff?
Greetz from Munich!

Nope. The spurs were in place for the time before last's two minute run. This time it just broke the nut right off. The parts are on the way to you now.

I would not recommend this truck! Unless you like to spend hundreds over the initial cost to strengthen everything on the truck so it won't break. PM me for more details.

Okay. The gears are in.Now the drive cups are chipping/breaking away! The dogbones have already shot out a time or 2,3... What will CENRacing be doing about this new issue? Will you please help before I go nuts? The truck also has no range...I mean it starts to act up in less than 50-60 feet.My race cars I can control from 200 feet plus! Is there a fix for that? I am going to continue trusting CENRacing because there tech help/support has been awesome and they have come through with the gears as said. Please get back with me on the new issues. Thanks again guys/gals.Regards,Mark

highoctane,
What i did, b/c it sounds like your having the same problem as the first batch trucks had was remove everything electronic that is cen and put in another brand b/c cen is garbage( receiver, servos failsafe ect...). Second take the whole truck apart and put it back together the rite way not cens way. Put oil in the diff b/c trhere is none to begin with. 3rd put the center diff in and last but not least the dog bones are popiong out b/c the top of your wheeles are to far out the tire should look like this from the back or front / \ , not like this | | or this \ /. kind of hard to describe.

mR. mIJAGO,
Installing the Center Differential will release the stress put on the drive train. Your truck will also handle much better in rough terrain and through turns. However, you will loose the Wheelie capabilities because once the front end lifts off the ground, all the power will be transferred to the front of the truck. If you put the center differential in, we recommend using no less than 100,000 wt silicone oil in the center differential. Thanks!
