CT4S NX-15 Engine Concerns
Question for the CEN Racing Support Team,
I have owned my CT4S for the past 6 months and attempted a cleaning maintenance on the stock NX-15 Engine w/ the "Green Cooling Head". Upon trying to remove the "Green Cooling Head”, I accidentally stripped (2) of the (4) hex screws which mount the cooling head to the engine.
1. Do you guys have any recommendations on how I could remove the stripped hex screws?
2. Is this covered under CEN’s product warranty package?
3. Should I consider purchasing a new engine?
If so, I've been considering the following engine:
O.S. .12 CV-R - Is this engine worth purchasing?
Any feedback regarding these concerns would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Roy Hernandez

RE: CT4S NX-15 Engine Concerns
rhernand,
Thanks for your question. Unfortunately, this would not be under warranty, however if you cannot remove the head you can send us the engine and our technicians can remove it for you. The have methods. If you want to try yourself, a few things you can do, are you can heat up the engine head with a heat gun and use a "new" 2.5mm hex to try and remove the screws. The last resort is to use the ol dremel, however you will have to purchase a new head if you go that route.

CEN RACING

CEN Racing Support,
Your recommendations are greatly appreciated. I tried the heat gun suggestion and it didn't appear to work for me. Could you please supply me with all the information necessary to ship out my Engine to the CEN Racing Technicians.
1) Shipping Address
2) Cost?
3) Any other necessary information to expedite this request
I am new to the RC On-road Nitro Hobby and have learned a lot about the hobby by experimenting with my CT4S. Most of my experience comes from the RC On-road Electric Hobby. What are your recommendations on Nitro Racing Engines? I have read many raving reviews about O.S. Engines, should I believe the hype or should I consider other engine manufactures?
Thanks,
Roy Hernandez

You can take a large drimel cutting wheel and cut the heads of the screws off. If you hold the cutting wheel parallel with the cooling fin you will only remove a small amount of the coloring where the screws were sitting.
